We are interested in improving the ability for analysts to make sense of data by elevating Visual Analytic Systems from passive tools to proactive partners in data analyses. In this PhD project, the successful candidate will develop machine learning approaches
and annotate of underlying training data to translate natural language expressions of users’ data analytic goals, to specifications of data visualisations and analysis recommendations that can support these goals. Please include a personal statement highlighting
