The successful candidate will have expertise in the areas of information visualization, geo-visualization, virtual/augmented reality, and exploratory data analysis. This is an EPSCoR-funded position with an emphasis on research for the next four years working on the Alaska ACE (Alaska Adapting to Changing Environments) program. The successful candidate will collaborate with researchers across disciplines including systems and landscape modelers to visualize Alaskan social-ecological systems, and form the nucleus of faculty in the EPSCoR-supported Center for Adaptation of Northern Social Ecological Systems. The expected workload per semester for the first four years is 20% teaching (1 three credit course per semester), 20% service, and 60% research.
