<p style="font-size:16px; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif,EmojiFont">Topology-based methods are of increasing importance in visual analysis of data from a wide variety of scientific domains, each involving its own challenges. Typical challenges of topology-based
techniques include dealing with large, complex, and time-dependent data, characterizing noise and uncertainty, as well as developing efficient and robust numerical methods. This year, the focus of the workshop will be on software for topological data analysis
and its applications.</p>

<p style="font-size:16px; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif,EmojiFont">TopoInVis has developed into a well-established and important workshop in the field of topological methods in visualization. It welcomes fully developed visualization solutions based on
topology as well as more foundational work in the field of topological data analysis. The workshop in Sweden, to be held at the Blommenhof Hotel in Nyköping (<a href="https://www.blommenhof.se/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="x_OWAAutoLink" id="LPlnk697558" previewremoved="true">https://www.blommenhof.se</a>)
during June 17-19, 2019, is the 8th in a row of very successful workshops (Slovakia in 2005, Germany in 2007, USA in 2009, Switzerland in 2011, USA in 2013, Germany in 2015, and Japan in 2017). It will be held in an open atmosphere of informal discussions,
open exchange, and personal interaction.</p>

on the day before the workshop (June 16, 2019), where everybody is invited to participate.</p>

<p style="font-size:16px; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif,EmojiFont">We welcome contribution as full-papers, extended abstracts, and posters. We also invite previously published work for presentation only. All submissions will be peer-reviewed before the
workshop, and must be presented at the workshop. We are planning to publish all accepted papers in the Mathematics + Visualization series of Springer, after a mandatory revision incorporating reviewer comments and discussions at the workshop. The call for
the Springer series will additionally include papers based on accepted extended abstracts, as well as novel submissions, both with an additional review cycle.</p>
