Visualization has become an increasingly important research area due to its wide range of applications in many disciplines. SA16VIS is a follow-up of the first successful symposium on visualization in high performance computing of ACM SIGGRAPH ASIA 2015. SA16VIS is designed to be an ACM sponsored international visualization symposium held in the Asia-Pacific region, with the objective to foster greater exchange between researchers and practitioners, and to draw more researchers in the Asia-Pacific region to enter this rapidly growing area.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>SA16VIS aims to provide a visualization-focused forum for visualization and graphics practitioners, welcoming all areas of visualization research: information visualization, scientific visualization, and visual analytics. Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished research and practical applications in all areas of visualization.
