Even though visualization technology has progressed significantly in recent years, we are barely capable of exploiting terascale data to its full extent, and application are increasingly capable of generating petascale datasets. This workshop aims at addressing this pressing issue by fostering communication between visualization/analysis researchers and the users of visualization. We solicit novel research ideas and practices of large data visualization.
