ABOUT VC2013<br>
Visual Computing represents one of the most challenging and
inspiring arenas in computer science. Today, fifty per cent of
content on the internet is in the form of visual data and
information, and more than fifty per cent of the neurons in the
human brain are used in visual perception and reasoning. Used in the
development of our Future Cities, Medical Imaging, Virtual Training
Environments, Industrial Processes and Battlefield Awareness, and
many other sectors, Visual Computing is an exciting new research
area in how to design, create, perceive, process, and promote
understanding in visual data through images and videos. <br>

RIVIC Visual Computing 2013 - VC2013 will showcase the projects and
world class collaborative research achievements from the
Universities of Aberystwyth, Bangor, Cardiff and Swansea. RIVIC
collaborative research projects have changed the way we compute and
visualize data, they have unravelled real business problems and
delivered practical applications for commercial and advanced
research challenges in a world expecting increasingly efficient and
convenient mobile solutions.<br>
