Angelika Zirker (Humboldt-Universität Berlin) as well as Matthias Bauer, Miriam Lahrsow, and Leonie Kirchhoff (all Universität Tübingen) presented a poster at this year’s “<a href="http://dhd2018.uni-koeln.de/wp-content/uploads/boa-DHd2018-web-ISBN.pdf">DHd 2018 – Kritik der digitalen Vernunft</a>.” The poster, titled “TEASys: Kollaborative digitale Annotationen als Lehr- und Lernprozess,” depicted the individual teaching and learning processes of students that collaboratively annotate literary texts. The presentation of the individual steps during the annotation process demonstrated the project’s sustainability as well as the added value of TEASys as a heuristic tool with regard to digital methods in literature classes.<br>
At the same conference, Angelika Zirker gave a talk on “Ambiguität und Annotation: Herausforderungen von Automatisierung und Digitalität”.<br>

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada awarded a grant to the research project “<a href="https://onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca/endingsproject/">Endings: Concluding, Archiving, and Preserving Digital Projects for Long-Term Usability</a>.” The project explores practical answers to the questions of how DH projects end, dealing with questions such as where the materials should be archived, how to maintain their digital features that make them readable, searchable, and/or even interactive.<br>

The <em>Digital Humanities Quarterly</em>'s new special issue, "<a href="http://www.digitalhumanities.org/dhq/vol/11/3/000334/000334.html">Imagining the DH Undergraduate</a>," discusses four major thematic clusters: program models, disciplinarity and DH pedagogy, tool development, and professional concerns.<br>
