TEASys – News
In the context of the seminar “Annotating Shakespeare” we are using TEASys to annotate selected sonnets by William Shakespeare (23, 27, 81, 86, 97, 148). We try to reflect on the processes of writing explanatory annotations that take into account readerly needs as well as the wealth in existing annotations. Writing annotations offers a new approach to teaching literature as it combines the practice of close reading, empirical research and of critically evaluating secondary literature.
The Annotated Web Edition Directory is looking forward to your suggestions. We are always on the look-out for new entries to add to the list. Feel free to recommend literary digital editions that include explanatory annotation (of the social or the editorial kind), web platforms, tools and applications that enable the user to (collaboratively) annotate texts. Please use the corresponding form on our webpage. We thank you for your help.
