The Annotated Web Edition Directory[5] is looking forward to your  
suggestions. We are always on the look-out for new entries to add to  
the list. Feel free to recommend literary digital editions that  
include explanatory annotation (of the social or the editorial kind),  
web platforms, tools and applications that enable the user to  
(collaboratively) annotate texts. Please use the corresponding form on

CALLS FOR PAPERS/UPCOMING EVENTS

Submissions for the Third Biennial Conference on Language, Data and  
Knowledge[6] (JUNE 14-16, 2021, Zaragoza, Spain) are due by JANUARY  
29, 2021.
 
The open access journal /KULA/[7] invites proposals for its special  
issue on “Metadata, Knowledge, and Open Knowledge Projects”. Please  
submit your abstracts (300-500 words) through the journal's website by  
JANUARY 31, 2021.
 
Call for papers for the closing conference of the FNRS MIS Grant  
“Digital Studies of Digital Science (DS?)” (MARCH 15-18, 2021). For  
full CFP please visit the conference website[8]. Abstracts are DUE BY  
JANUARY 31, 2021.
 
The Canadian Society for Digital Humanities[9] invites scholars to  
submit proposals for its annual meeting, to be held remotely as part  
of the 2021 Congress of the Social Sciences and Humanities[10], MAY 30  
TO JUNE 3, 2021. Proposals should be submitted to  
https://www.conftool.net/csdh-schn-2021/. Submissions will be accepted  
UNTIL JANUARY 31, 2021.
 
This year the conference of the Society for Textual Scholarship  
“Reckonings, Recoveries, and Transitions” will go virtual. It is  
scheduled for MAY 19-22, 2021, and will be hosted by The New School.  
For the full CFP click here[11]. The DEADLINE for conference proposals  
is FEBRUARY 8, 2021. Please send an email to:

Submissions for track/panel proposals, workshops, and round tables[12]  
at the 48th conference of the Austrian Association for American  
Studies “Digital Americas” (October 2021) are due on FEBRUARY 15,  
2021. Individual proposals[13] can be handed in from MARCH 8, 2021  
onwards.

Junior researchers who have dealt with questions of research data  
management and infrastructures[14] in their research projects are  
encouraged to submit abstracts for a brief pitch at the vDHd2021. The  
deadline is FEBRUARY 21, 2021.
 
The Research Data Alliance Deutschland conference[15] will be held  
online FEBRUARY 22-26, 2021.
 
Call for contributions for the “Open Digital Collaborative Project  
Preservation in the Humanities” conference. This virtual conference  
will take place during the 2 weeks of DHSI (JUNE 7-11 AND 14-18). The  
specific day will be announced shortly. Submissions should be  
submitted by email to ldmm at uvic.ca and are DUE BY FEBRUARY 25, 2021.  
Registration is free and will open shortly.
 
The Research Training Group „Dokument – Text – Edition“ (Wuppertal,  
Germany) is organising a workshop about “Der Text und seine  
(Re-)Produktion. Ein interdisziplinärer Dialog über Kulturtechniken in  
der Editorik[16]“ (Wuppertal, September 29 – October 1, 2021). The  
deadline for submission is MARCH 14, 2021.
 
CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS for the 25th conference on Theory and Practice  
of Digital Libraries. It takes place under the theme “Linking Theory  
and Practice” (from September 13-17, 2021). Submission deadline for  
papers, demos and posters is APRIL 14, 2021. For a full call for  
contributions please see here[17].
 
Save the date: the CfP for “MAPPING THE LANDSCAPE:  
Geisteswissenschaftliches Forschungsdatenmanagement zwischen lokalen  
und globalen, generischen und spezifischen Lösungen[18]“ (September  
8-10, 2021, Cologne) will be posted soon.

The lecture series “Digital Humanities – Theorie und Methodik” of the  
Forum Digital Humanities Leipzig invites you to attend their lectures.

The Compute Canada Federation[22] offers an introductory,  
beginner-level digital research workshop series for humanities and  
social sciences (HSS) researchers. Course details and materials for

UPDATES

The EADH2021 deadline for proposals was extended to JANUARY 24, 2021.

The Helsinki Digital Humanities Hackathon[23] is postponed till autumn  
2021, register your interest to keep informed. It will be organized  
under the name #DHH21.

Editors of the newly re-constituted journal “Scholarly Editing” have  
decided to EXTEND the contribution DEADLINE for Issue 39 TO APRIL 30,  
2021. For more information see the see the “Contributing” page on  
their website[24].

The invites application for a TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR  
position in Humanities Data Science, starting in September 2021, at  
the University of Washington, Seattle. Priority will be given to

The University of Kiel (Germany) is looking for a research fellow in  
the context of digital editing and research data management[25]. The  
deadline is JANUARY 27, 2021.
 
The Department of German Studies and Arts (Marburg) and the  
Forschungszentrum Deutscher Sprachatlas are offering a PhD position in  
linguistics[26]. The deadline is JANUARY 29, 2021.
 
The University of Hamburg is looking for a software engineer/research  
associate[27] for its project “Etymologika. Ordnung und Interpretation  
des Wissens in griechisch-byzantinischen Lexika bis in die  
Renaissance”. The deadline is JANUARY 31, 2021.
 
Maastricht University is hiring an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in Digital  
Historical Research Methods. Applications are DUE FEBRUARY 1, 2021.

Digital Textual Scholarship, respectively. Candidates interested in
