<b class="">The Genome Analysis Centre (TGAC) is hosting a
workshop with The iPlant Collaborative on 2-3 July 2015.<br
class="">

<div class="">This 2-day workshop provides a comprehensive look at
platforms, tools, and services for large-scale data
analysis provided by the iPlant Collaborative,
cyberinfrastructure project of the National Science Foundation.
Workshop topics build progressively to cater to the needs of
general and advanced audiences. Through several hands-on demos
and guided exercises, workshop participants will get a
comprehensive look at iPlant's tools and services for
large-scale data analysis. Use cases will draw on topics in
RNA-Seq, Genome Annotation, and more.<br class="">
<br class="">
Participants will get hands-on experience with the following
iPlant cyberinfrastructure:<br class="">

<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>• Discovery
Environment: Simple web portal for managing data, analyses, and
workflows. Complex bioinformatics applications can be run
without knowing command line programming; users can also
integrate their own tools.<br class="">
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>• Data
Store: Scalable, secure, and reliable storage for terabyte-scale
data.<br class="">
<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>• Atmosphere:
1-click, on-demand cloud computing.<br class="">

<div class="">Participation fee is £60 and includes all coffee
breaks and lunch. Registration is on a first come, first
served basis with limited places available. Participants are
responsible for their own travel/accommodation costs for this
workshop.
